The life-affirming journey of a newly divorced woman (Julia Roberts) stepping out of her comfort zone and towards the brave new life she's always craved - but never really knew she wanted. Leaving her old life behind - the husband, the successful career, the gorgeous house - Liz embarks on a round-the-world trip, in search of fulfilment. The 'Eat' is Italy, the 'Pray' is India and the 'Love' is Bali, via encounters with the dark, handsome Felipe (Javier Bardem). As well as the dark, handsome David (James Franco). This is self-discovery with some very pretty backdrops.
