Female Agents (15) France

Based on real events, FEMALE AGENTS is an espionage thriller set in the final months of World War II. In May 1944, a five-woman commando unit parachuted into occupied France on a daring mission to protect the secret of the D-day landings and eliminate Colonel Heindrich, the head of the German counter-intelligence. Following the liberation of France, General de Gaulle neglected to recognise the role played by these women in favour of the heroes who had fought alongside him in the Free French Forces. The film sets out to make amends for this injustice by turning the spotlight on the female operatives who, in the shadows, risked their lives to defeat the Nazis. Marceau (THE WORLD IS NOT ENOUGH), Depardieu (BLAME IT ON FIDEL) and Gillain (L'ENFER) lend star-studded allure. Subtitled trailer

Priceless (12a) France

Starring Audrey Tautou (Amelie). Jean (Gad Elmaleh), a shy young bartender, is mistaken for a millionaire by a beautiful seductress named Irene (Audrey Tautou). When Irene discovers his true identity, she abandons him, only to find that a love-struck Jean has no intention of letting her get away. Jean’s comical attempts to gain her affections gradually evolve into setting himself up as a gigolo at a luxury hotel, until Irene finally starts to warm to her persistent, persuasive suitor. Against the wildly atmospheric backdrop of the south of France, Pierre Salvadori (APRES VOUS) directs this sexy and thoroughly charming romantic comedy, which is a fresh re-imagining of the cinema classic, BREAKFAST AT TIFFANY’S. 'Sparkling and seductive..... a charming comedy' EMPIRE Subtitled Trailer
