Comedy drama with Rosamund Pike, Miranda Richardson, Bob Hoskins, Sally Hawkins. In the sixties, at the Ford car factory in Dagenham, the women employed as sewing machinists were forced to work in impoverished conditions for long, arduous hours. Then, in 1968, one woman, Rita O'Grady, decided enough was enough and became the catalyst for 187 women going on strike. The result was the advent of the Equal Pay Act. 'Made in Dagenham' tells the story of Rita and this landmark event.
