Accessible cinema screenings via subtitles & audio description provide social benefits such as equality, inclusion and community integration. For a few hours, people with hearing or sight loss are not disabled. The disabling barrier is removed. Opportunities to attend are very much appreciated by many people, as clearly indicated by the positive experiences from many happy customers here.

Here is a selection of the outpour of anger and disappointment when a film is NOT made accessible to people with hearing or sight loss. All comments below refer to the film 'American Hustle'.
American Hustle, one of the biggest films of the year, has been entertaining US & UK audiences for weeks now. With an impressive ten nominations it's currently leading the Oscar race alongside Gravity and one nomination ahead of 12 Years A Slave. Thanks to its amazing all star cast, incredible Seventies style and Christian Bale's truly awful comb over, the film has been described as one of the most entertaining and hilarious films of the year. But hearing impaired Brits certainly aren't laughing. In fact, due to the fact that no subtitled version of the film has been distributed in the UK, many people with hearing loss feel that they've been conned out of a valuable movie going experience
One of the films with the highest demand is currently inaccessible for people with hearing impairments … It seems like an extraordinary oversight not to be providing a subtitled version of such a major release. It is generally the norm for most big box office movies to receive at least a small number of screenings with a subtitle track. Current releases like 12 Years A Slave, Inside Llewyn Davis and The Wolf Of Wall Street all have subtitled versions, yet American Hustle does not. The fact that a subtitle track exists and is being used in US cinemas makes things even more peculiar. One would assume that simply using this would suffice for UK audiences. Surely hearing impaired viewers would be able to put up with the tiny differences in the English and American languages in order to see the film. Wouldn't the occasional 'Zee' where we would put an S or the lack of a U in words like colour (let's call them what they are – spelling mistakes) be worth enduring in order to see Jennifer Lawrence aggressively dancing around the house in a pair of marigolds? There seems to be a simple solution here but still, there aren't any subtitled showings
This is a really popular film which has been nominated for an incredible 10 Oscars, including best actor/supporting actor nominations Christian Bale, Amy Adams, Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence … Every film should be accessible for everybody. The Equality Act applies to anyone who provides a service to the general public - whether it's a small corner cafe, a Michelin Starred Restaurant or a Multinational Hotel.
ActionOnHearingLoss UK fans of @americanhustle with hearing loss have been telling us they cant enjoy the film as #subtitles not available
Hearing great things about Oscar tipped @americanhustle sadly @EFDFilms haven't included #subtitles for UK people with hearing loss to enjoy
@EFDFilms Would love to see this film. I am deaf so completely inaccessible. #Why.
It is such a shame Hustle is not being subtitled. If it can be subtitled in the USA why cannot this not happen here.
10 Oscar nominations! BUT NO SUBTITLES IN THE UK!!! Please film distributors think of allowing access to all. Deaf people love cinema as well!
I was wondering why American Hustle has not appeared on your listings schedules? Please obtain the subtitled version of this film - our friends have said that it is a complicated story so you can't afford to miss anything - the subtitles would overcome this problem. N
I have complained to my local cinema managers at VUE and ODEON but both state it is not their fault that they are not showing American Hustle. I depends on what is sent. Therefore le Weekend was only shown in 4 cinemas across England, and as the target audience were probably of a certain age with hearing loss, did not target the right market. Im really annoyed about American Hustle so will have to wait for DVD, now just waiting to see if the new Meryl Streep film is the same. How can we improve this, would assume technology might allow subtitles on all films but hidden unless you wear special glassess like 3 D, well i can dream.
To whom this concerns I am not pleased that my husband and I are being denied access to American Hustle in the cinema. Please can you ensure that subtitles will be made available for this film. Ruth
I'm surprised and disappointed that the UK version of American Hustle does not allow for the possibility of subtitles for the hard of hearing. I would like to know why this is the case, when the version shown in the States has this option. Regards, Jodi
Hello, We would love to see American Hustle with subtitles. We can't believe it isn't on offer in the UK, especially as it is up for so many awards. Please bring it over to the UK. Kind regards, Vicky and Bill
Want to see American Hustle with the full subtitled track as in USA. Am totally deaf and feel Deprived !!
I would love to see American Hustle which is getting rave reviews at the moment and mentions of awards etc. The fact that I am Deaf and living in the UK means I can't?! When Deaf US audiences have had access to subtitles, that does not make sense! Come on film people! Get your act together!
This is outrageous! Why should hearing impaired people in the uk be denied access to a film that is subtitled in America? Please explain..
Hi Please forward this on to whoever is responsible. One of the hottest most anticipated films to come out in recent times. Comments from friends – "You need to see it it brilliant" "Awesome" "Very good film, be a mug not to watch this" The comments above made my mind up that I want to see this film when it comes out on subtitles. Imagine my surprise and disgust when I found out it does NOT include a subtitle track and UK cinemas cannot show it with subtitles. Thanks a bunch to the directors or whoever is responsible for this idiotic decision. Watching this on DVD will not be the same (Thats if you decide to put subtitles on DVD). Please reconsider this decision and have it available in the UK with Subtitles please. Yours in hope Douglas
Please show American Hustle with subtitles in UK cinemas. We have very few times to view films with subtitles and they are always shown at inconvenient times. Thank you.
Want to see American Hustle with the full subtitled track as in USA. Am totally deaf and feel Deprived !!
I very much appreciate the subtitling of current popular films and feel very left out of the conversation about them if I have not been able to see them because of the lack of subtitles. Is there anything that can be done to make sure the above film can be accessed by deaf people including myself? Yours truly, Joan
American Hustle is not being shown with subtitles anywhere. It is incredibly frustrating
I lack hearing and would love to see a subtitled version of American Hustle at my local cinema in London. A deaf friend in America has had that chance. Why is there not a version available in the UK. Why ever not?
I'm so disapppointed that American Hustle is not going on film with subtitled because I would love to watch it with subtitled. Please put on subtitled for American Hustle.
American Hustle It is unacceptable to be screening films in the UK without the subtitle track when it it in fact published and available. This is discrimination against the deaf and hard of hearing community. Totally scandalous. Does the distributor feel that this film is somehow unsuitable for the deaf community to watch?! Thanks and best wishes Sarah
I watched it in Australia with #Captiview so there's definitely captioning out there
unfair... i really want to watch american hustle.. sounds very good...
I would like to see it subtitled in the cineworld in Dublin. Regards and thanks Andrew
Dear Sir/Madam, Please could you let me know why American Hustle is not going to be audio described in the Uk? The only way in which my family and I can enjoy good movies is if it is Audio described. I am very disappointed. Please could you reconsider? Kind regards, Cindy
I'd made plans to go and see American Hustle with friends when it became available with subtitles. We won't be going now we know there won't be any subtitled showings. Please let the distributers know that this decision has lost them some very disappointed customers! Best wishes, Sophie
Hi, Could you please pass on to the film distributors my immense disappointment that the award film 'American Hustle', which I've been particularly looking forward to comng out will not be available with AD!! For blind people, this is normally a fantastic addition to the film that at very least matches our complete enjoyment, and sometimes gives us an even better experience of the film than the sighted. Please do let them know that there is an increasing demand and we rely so much on the cinema and DVD releases to provide the audio description, and so maximum entertainment of films. This clearly is certainly a film that would have deserved the extra effort in to allowing blind cinema fans to enjoy audio description, and I'm just sorry I won't now be able to appreciate the reasons for it being Oscar nominated now. Kindest regards, Brian
I would like to be able to see this film with subtitles!
Hello, As someone with profound hearing loss, I completely rely on subtitles to watch films and programmes. As a keen movie-goer I find it frustrating when films - especially those that have been heavily nominated for awards - are shown without subtitles. Please could arrangements be made to show American Hustle with subtitles so that we can enjoy it at the same time as those with no hearing difficulties, rather than having to wait a few months for the dvd to be released. Thank you. Sharn
The Irish Deaf Society is disappointed to note that 'American Hustle' will not contain a subtitle track for its Deaf and hard of hearing viewers. The Irish Deaf Society promotes equality for all its members and is disappointed that even in 2014, the Deaf community still misses out. Whilst the IDS recognises the increase in subtitled movies and which they are welcomed; they are limited and not always available. We do hope you reconsider subtitling 'American Hustler' and all future films for Deaf and Hard of Hearing people in Ireland.
I would like to be able to see American Hustle with subtitles if possible. As it is a big Oscar nominee I would like to be able to enjoy this.
Why has the Film distribution service for American Hustle decided to discriminate against all film goers with hearing impairments? We need subtitles to access films. American Hustle has a subtitled track in the States – but not in Britain. I am frankly horrified at this decision. I thought the film industry was becoming more inclusive – and in line with Equality Legislation - but not the distributors of American Hustle in Britain, clearly. I can't believe the film makers or actors of this Oscar nominated film wanted us to be denied access to their film. So – distributors – please get your act together and distribute the subtitled version of this film to all British outlets forthwith!
I think it's incredibly unfair, and I really would love to see the film- I was so excited to see it & the advert looked amazing. Now, I see the film has got critical acclaim, and it saddens me I cannot see it. I am a 16 year old girl, so all of my friends have been to see it, but I cannot even attempt to see it- I need the subtitles. Subtitled cinema has changed my life, but what I really want is to see American Hustle- it looks like it could potentially be one of my favourite films- however I have to wait for the DVD, which is in fact, discrimination. Thank you for taking the time to read my email. Grace
I have been waiting very bemusedly for subtitled listings for American Hustle and am now extremely disappointed to learn it is unlikely to ever be shown in UK cinemas with subtitles. How come US audiences can see it with subtitles but we can't? I would love to see the film, but being profoundly deaf, I shall have to wait until it is released on DVD. Very disappointing state of affairs and one that could have been easily avoided. It is yet another example of the casual discrimination and thoughtlessness that make our lives much harder than they need be.
My boyfriend and I have been wanting to see this film since we saw it advertised. So to learn that it's not coming out with subtitles it's very upsetting and quite unacceptable. Another example of the film industry being behind with the times! Not happy at all!
To it May concern I am a weekly cinema attender would go more often if funds allowed, however i have a hearing problem which increasingly causes problems with watching movies. At home I use the subtitles all the time, and now only visit subtitled versions or forieng films which are automatically subtitled. It is already difficult to see films as not all have a subtitled option, so ive been informed by my two local cinema managers and is all the fault of the distributor. Please can i request you recondiser your decison not to have Amercian Hustle with a subtitled version as this is a film i would really like to see, yours hopefully Agnes
I am outraged that any film is released without the availability of a subtitle track but especially a major film like this that is Oscar nominated. If distributors continue to exclude deaf people in the UK then we need legislation to force them to subtitle all films. The Equality Act 2010 is insufficient for this purpose as distributors are not direct service providers to the cinema going deaf public. It must be addressed otherwise this problem will not go away. I have seen in the past 10 days Mandela, 12 Years A Slave. The Railway Man and Last Vegas but why should someone decide for me that I cant see American Hustle at the cinema unless I go to USA!?
My hearing loss is such that I find it very hard to hear then dialoguie in many films. It would help me enormously if there was a sub-titled version of American Hustle . Without it I will have to wait until the film is available on TV of DVD. While that is a price I have to pay, it is hardly fair that my wife will also have to wait Leon
We were really shocked to understand that American Hustle has been released in the UK without subtitles! For a film of this quality to be released without subtitles is a real affront to equal opportunity laws! Esther . Mother of a deaf teenager Please pass it on
Why should we be excluded from watching a film? We should be treated equally as hearing people! It is nice communicate with both hearing and deaf about a film you watched. I love watching film and find I watch a lot at home but it would be nice to go out with friends and socialise about a film we seen. Kirsty
I am furious that deaf cinema goers in the UK are being discriminated against by the distributors of American Hustle. I suggest their CEO purchases a set of earplugs and then goes to the cinema and watches this film.... Not much fun when you can't hear it is it? Regards Susan
Hello I am writing to express my concern that the Oscar nominated film 'American Hustle' was not made available for deaf cinema goers in the Uk. It is very disappointing that the film distributor chose to deny access to these customers. I say 'chose' because there must have been a conscious, positive decision made by someone in the company not to acquire the subtitled track, and consequently fall short of expected customer service standards. Please pass my comments to those concerned. kind regards Barbara
Please can you try to et the distributor to join us in moving forward and enable cinema for all, the deaf and the partially sighted.? Discrimination should be a thing of the past. Thank you Caroline ...deaf due to m.s.
Hi, My partner's deaf, and we love to see the subtitled films together. One of the ones she was really keen to see was American Hustle, so we're very disappointed and angry that such a high profile film will not be available with subtitles. Kind regards Annie McDowall Chief Executive SHARE Community Ltd
Without subtitled cinema my husband and(me being now partially deaf)simply cannot go to the cinema together. After 36 years of marriage and regular cinema goers, losing this service is another blow associated with hearing difficulties. No doubt the people making this decision were the way I was until I lost hearing in one ear ie take full hearing for granted!I can tell you that if we cannot both go to a subtitled film,my husband won`t go alone,so a lost ticket sale...it`s not rocket science,go figure the financial loss where a couple both can`t go so I know from personal experience that in this day where the technology is available, coupled with an aging population, this need will only increase. This is disability discrimination!
I am profoundly Deaf and would like to see the film American Hustle. Having seen the reviews, I am quite keen to attend and enjoy it. However, I have heard that the UK version of the film does not feature subtitles which does not allow access for the Deaf Community of the UK. The US cinemas has subtitles for their Deaf Community and they will find out that their International Deaf Communities are not receiving access to their own US films, this will have an impact on the film's distributor and create friction. I am all for full access worldwide and would be really grateful if you could share this and fight for access in the UK. Best Wishes, Paul
Cannot believe that yet again Deaf and hard of hearing people are being discriminated against. This film is a worldwide success, with 10 Oscar nominations, and is essentially art, not just entertainment. How can you possibly justify not releasing this film with a subtitle track? The mind boggles.
I am horrified to hear that this film will not be available with sub-titles. I am very hard-of-hearing and depend on sub-titling, so I shall be unable to view "American Hustle", which would have been a real treat. Big thanks to your organisation and to all the film-producers and cinema managers who do such good work in making sub-titled films available. Rachel
No subtitles track on American Hustle You know, I love going to the cinema as much as the next person but as I am hard of hearing I find it extremely difficult to pick dialogue without subtitles. The louder it is the more difficult it is. I also work full time so I don't often get the opportunity to see films when they are subtitles, as most cinemas often display them at silly times that prevents me from going. Like 5pm on a Tuesday...hello...I finish work at five! My ' local' cinema often shows a film with subtitles about 8pm on a Monday or Tuesday which is helpful. But one day, just one day I'd love to go on a Ssturday night, like normal people, with my friends. Anyway the main reason for writing today is the that I had learnt that the Amercan Hustle was released in USA with a subtitle track, and thought the same would happen when it was released in UK. I thought "great! maybe I can go and see it when I want and fitting in with my life". But no....it's been removed on release in UK. Yet again I have been subject to discrimination and not been allowed the same level of access as my hearing counterpart. Why?!?!?! One in seven people rely are deaf, deafened or hard of hearing and most of those may rely on subtitles...surely that's enough of a demand to warrant keeping the subtitle track? Please feel free to pass on my frustration to the appropriate people/organisation who were responsible for musing this unthoughtful decision. Regards Therona
I was very disappointed that American Hustle wasn't provided with subtitles for the deaf cinema goers in the UK. I would be grateful if you would consider providing the film with subtitles in the UK, it was a big disappointment to many deaf people when it was realised we couldn't go to the cinema to see a major award winning film. Regards Maria
American Hustle Disappointed that this is NOT available with subtitles in cinemas; are the distributors, producer, director and actors happy to shut out 1 in 7 of the population of the UK? I shall boycott it, out of principle. Shame on them. Paul
I am HUGELY upset and disappointed the above Movie in the UK is not being shown with SUBTITLES. Apparently there are no such problems in the US? A very bad decision on behalf of the Film Distributor. I would appreciate receiving some feedback. Thankyou. Kind regards SHARON
My brother needs subitles to watch this film. Ofcom force TV companies to show subtitles. Why don't we just get them to cover cinema films too? Start a petition! There are currently 13,000 names on a petition to force LoveFilm to subtitle all its films. If film studios won't do it we'll take them to court! Little disabled kids against the big rich film industry. Wonder who'd win?
American Hustle Hi, As hearing impaired people, we want to be able to view this, and every film, with subtitles. It is unacceptable that people are discriminated against in this way. Film makers should be aware of the increasing numbers of ageing populations who now and in he future would provide revenue for their industry and should strive to cater for their needs ( or everyone loses out, including them). Ms Oswald
I'd been looking forward to seeing this movie, but without subtitles the wit and comedy would be lost on me. Please let the distributors know that deaf people like movies too. Vivien
American Hustle WHY is this not available in the UK with subtitles? Just one simple question.
I am very disappointed that the U.K. version if this film does not carry subtitles. This is not acceptable when subtitles are already available. I regularly watch subtitled films and have noticed that far from being the only one or two people a few years ago watching a subtitled film that many more people are watching them these days. It could be film or location of the cinema or they are shown at popular times. Best wishes Jane
Hello re American Hustle I think its appalling that the film has no subtitles provision and yet the distributors are able to do that in America. The film has had so many great reviews, oscar nominated and has some actors that i enjoy and would like to watch. I think that the UK deaf cinema patrons deserve to have this subtitled and don't understand why we are losing out.
I am disappointed to learn UK cinema's will not be screening the film with subtitles. Why do the deaf or hard of hearing have to miss out. Hearing loss affects a large proportion of the population in the UK with cinema numbers falling I would have thought they would need all the customers they could get through the doors.
Why do you think so many deaf people download pirate copies of films??? It's the only way to watch them subtitled! All the films are out there and the subtitle files but we don't want that do we? or have to wait for the DVD. People want to watch American Hustle at the cinema eating popcorn like everyone else. Get it sorted!
My name us Christopher Liversidge , I a very disappointed that hustle does not gave subtitles , my friends and I love going to the cinema ,to watch films with subtitles, we usually have to wait until the cinemas put the films on , never when they first gone out ., now they are deciding not to put subtitles completely disgusted.
Subtitles please ... Amy Adams is a delight, but I can't hear what she's saying. Cheers, Pete.
It is ridiculous that UK film goers have no chance of seeing American Hustle with subtitles. All films showing in UK cinemas should have subtitled performances so hearing impaired people have equal access to culture and entertainment. Thank you, Mary Ann
Ever since the film American Hustle have been released, week after week in have been checking this website for subtitles viewings - only to find out that you've not provided the subtitles. Why does US get the subtitles and not UK? You have eliminated us as a whole - very very disappointing.
Absolutely disgusted American Hustle will not be available at all with Subtitles in the UK. It is already the case that I have to scour showing times and cinemas in quite a long distance from my house to get to see any new releases, but to be told that this film will not be accessible at all to deaf people is disgraceful!! There is no technical reason that the showings can't be subtitled especially as it is possible in the USA. Please can you pass on my moans to the distributor and advise that I and other deaf patrons are sick of being treated as second class citizens! Thank you Janet
As an avid movie watcher who never downloads movie for I love the cinema experience; I am bitterly disappointed to note that American Hustle will not be subtitled for its Deaf Irish and UK audiences, Attending the movies is a visual treat and only accessible when they are subtitled, I sincerely hope this will be rectified
I am very disappointed and surprised that I am not to be able to see American Hustle as I am profoundly deaf and rely on captioning to be able to go to a cinema to see the latest releases. It would seem it is one of the best films to be released in the last few weeks and I was looking forward to being able to see it for myself. In spite of my hearing loss I am normally able to see all films that I want to see through the excellent captioning available in the UK. Could you please pass on my great disappointment and frustration to the distributors that they are discriminating against a large percentage of people by not allowing captioning of this film.
It would be great if we can see the hustle film. Smile... maybe a special marketing for Oscar hot list films for us deaf people Thanks for reading this.
Hello, about American Hustle in the UK without subtitles. This is ridiculous. Yes, I am partially deaf but I'm only 50 and have been partially deaf for 10 years. It is not just old people that are deaf. I would love to see American Hustle in the cinema and have actually been waiting for it to come out. My three daughters have been so excited and we were all going as a family. We won't be able to now. I would really appreciate it if you could pass on my email to the relevant source. Kind Regards Carol
I have been eagerly awaiting American Hustle. The fact they do it in America makes it more unbearable. I don't want to wait for the DVD.
I think it is an absolute disgrace and blatant discrimination against the Deaf that not all films are subtitled for our enjoyment, particularly big releases like American Hustle. Not only are we, the Deaf community, missing out by having to wait for the DVD release, the studios are stupidly kicking themselves in the foot: If they released these films with a subtitled track, then they would be generating more box office income by having a larger number of cinema-goers seeing these films that includes us! Sort it out.
Oh for gods sake the last time this happened for the Riddick film I had to download the subtitle file to my phone and read the subtitles on my phone whilst watching the film and it pissed off the people behind me. It's stupid that almost every other top film is subtitled except this one. (https://www.opensubtitles.org/en/subtitles/5473778/american-hustle-en if anyone needs it)
Re: Subtitled cinema - American Hustle? Dear subtitled cinema I am disappointed that subtitles are not available for this movie. Perhaps we can find out why ? As that might help to find a solution to why the uk version does not have subtitle tracks. I would gladly assist if you need help. Kind regards Kamlesh
I only come to the cinema when a film is subtitled as I am profoundly deaf. It has been amazing to have the films subtitled and I do appreciate it. Two concerns though :- 1. Subtitled films are always shown at obscure times as if we are not worthy of being shown a film at the normal time of 7.30 or 8pm and 2. American Hustle is not being subtitled at all, can you please tell me who makes the decision what will be subtitled and what wont. Thank you for reading this.
Dear Film distributors, Please can you make American Hustle in the UK with a subtitle track? I find it quite hard to hear things clearly and really prefer to watch films with subtitles. I am a frequent cinema goer but generally only go to the subtitled showings. Many thanks William
Ameruican Hustle Why not subtitles for this movie??? Kevin
@yourlocalcinema the award for exclusion and discrimination goes to #AmericanHustle - for not providing uk subtitles
@bristolbethp @yourlocalcinema American Hustle not subtitled in UK cinema but is in the US! Another example of thoughtlessness that make deaf lives harder
I have a cochlear implant and without subtitles I woul miss most of the dialogue of this film. Please forward my request. Keith
Why is this film American hustle not subtitled??? It could be the film of the year with all the nominations and yet you deny us subtitles for deaf and hard of hearing. Do u turn the sound off or put another language dubbed in so hearing people can then see how lucky they are being able watch a film at any time and at any place with ease! All films should be subtitled no matter what- why deny deaf people their right to understand and enjoy a film through a simple method called... SUBTITLES! People want jobs- due a recession, train them to type subtitles for a film and there's a job done! Simples.....
Hi. I would be glad to see American Hustle available with subtitles in Northern Ireland and the UK! Can't believe we are even denied this opportunity in the first place? What happened to equality for all!!? I hope this email reply helps! Brenda.
I am very disappointed to hear that the subtitles are being removed for the irish showing of American Hustle. Many people with perfect hearing do not have any problems with watching a movie that has subtitles and are happy to know that this service is available for those who are deaf and hard of hearing. This subtitled service opens up the cinema to a wider customer base which would lead to more bums on seats!! jean
Hi. I am profoundly Deaf and would like to see this with subtitles. I can not find one here in UK that has access for Deaf and Hard of Hearing viewers. I am thoroughly disappointed. I hope to see it someday on the big screen. Thank you Antony
As a film buff, I would love to see American Hustle with subtitles anywhere in Central London one day. Please let me know when it is available. Once again many thanks for providing a weekly list of subtitles films which saves me a lot of time from browsing several cinema websites for any subtitles. Cheers Robin
Hi We try to use subtitle cinema as often as we can and are very disappointed at American Hustle not having subtitles. Thank you for your efforts they are really appreciated, Regards Roger
As my hearing loss is so severe I can only enjoy films with subtitles. I am disappointed that American Hustle is not being made available with subtitles in the UK. The Hard of Hearing Group I attend regularly follow the subtitled presentations at our local Vue cinema. Keep up the good work it is appreciated.
I would be pleased to know why this film cannot be subtitled? Sally
Surely in the 21st century subtitled films should be commonplace, but of course they are not!!
I want to know why UK version does not have subtitle track of 'American Hustle'!
Am very disappointed American Hustle does not have a subtitled track in the UK.
@yourlocalcinema please pass on this message to UK distributor of American Hustle - please provide cinema subtitles as you have in the USA
very frustrated that the US version of American Hustle has subtitles and the UK version does not. Why is this the case?
All films distributed now should be shown with subtitles. There are almost 10million people in the UK with hearing problems, many of whom rely completely on subtitles for films and TV. Can the producers of films afford to ignore such a large audience?
Hy. I would like to see this film with subtitles. Margaret
Films' Distributor, PLEASE have this movies - American Hustle available for SUBTITLES across U.K cinemas, including across LONDON cinemas. Thank you. Regards, Himel
I would like to see this film in my local cinema with sub-titles, please. Omniplex Lisburn preferably.
American Hustle I would love to see this film with subtitles! Very few subtitled films are shown at my local cinema and that is very frustrating! Natalie
Huntingdon It is very unfair to not show this film with subtitles, because this means people who want to see this have to wait for the DVD. Does this mean the DVD will not have subtitles?
Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to you today about the loss of subtitled showings of American Hustle.
Disgusted to learn of the disparity re subtitling of Hustle and similar incidents. (Dr) Brendan Carroll Chair, National Association of Deafened People
Dear Sir/madam, We would like to have American Hustle with subtitles pls, thanks. Rob
I really need subtitles on every film otherwise I am out of the loop. Please can every film be subtitled. Thank you
Why no subtitles for American Hustle? Also a poor number of subtitled showings-
Petition: please show American Hustle with subtitles. Thank you! Anna-Marie
I am hard of hearing and I would love to see the subtitled American Hustle in England. If I do go to see it, then I will probably miss half the dialogue without the subtitles! Kind regards Rose
I would like to see the film Hustle and preferably in the evening please
I'm hoping to see American Hustle especially since it's been raved with great reviews and award nominations but I'm disappointed to find out there won't be any subtitles provided for this film in UK for deaf viewers like me and even more that US have no problem showing it with subtitles. Like many deaf viewers, I'd most appreciated if you change this. Cinema is one of the few things we like to do, out of the house (most don't listen to music/radio/clubbing) but lack of subtitles is a problem at cinema. Hope one day that'll change.
I've been logging on regularly and not understanding why no cinema nearby has been showing American Hustle with subtitles! I would really like to see it. Thank you very much for the service you provide, Kate
I would love to see American Hustle with subtitles at my local cinema. Lynn
I am really disappointed (but at the same time thinking 'typical'!). Please forward my email as I would have liked to see this film at the cinema. It just shows that UK is still a long way behind America in terms of disability access.
