About the film:

Since its release 63 years ago, Wizard of Oz has become a favourite with every generation. The songs, the characters and of course those shoes are instantly recognisable to all ages. However, as it has never before been shown in cinemas with subtitles or Audio Description, many people with hearing or visual impairments have been prevented from experiencing this all-time classic on the big screen.

It’s also been years since a decent print has been available in the UK.Thankfully this is about to change, with the British Film Institute restoring the film and re-releasing it on a High Definition Digital copy, offering the best images on cinema screens today.

This innovative technology has made it possible for everyone to enjoy the film at the same time.

The In Touch partners are proud to present the first screening of Wizard of Oz complete with subtitles, Audio Description and BSL Interpretation.

With thanks to the BFI for their support of this launch event.
