Action adventure. Directed by and starring Sylvester Stallone. John Rambo is the grizzled Vietnam veteran who is living out his days in the Thai jungle. He is asked to take a group of US missionaries up river to Burma where they intend to deliver aid to the inhabitants of local villagers being abused by a tearaway military faction. They’re quickly kidnapped, and Rambo decides to unite a band of mercenaries and save them, resulting in some of the most brutal scenes of violence captured in modern cinema.
